1979 Australian Grand Prix

The 1979 Australian Grand Prix was an open wheel racing car race held at Wanneroo Park on March 11, 1979.

It was the forty fourth Australian Grand Prix and was open to Australian Formula 1 cars (incorporating Formula 5000 and Formula Pacific). The event was also the first round of the 1979 Australian Drivers' Championship
