Maginot Line , located nearBitche in the French "département" of Moselle. Grand Hohekirkel was adjoined by "gros ouvrage" Schiesseck and "petit ouvrage" Lembach at some distance to the right, and faced the German frontier. Grand Hohekirkel comprised two separate entrance blocks for ammunition and personnel, three infantry blocks, one artillery block and one observation block.References
