"Tithonus" was the tenth episode of the sixth season of "The X-Files" science-fiction television series created by Chris Carter.

Plot

Assistant Director Kersh, in an attempt to split up Mulder and Scully, sends Scully to New York to assist a New York agent in investigating a photographer, who mysteriously appears at the scene of a death to document the crime as soon as it happens. The New York agent is convinced of the photographer's guilt, while Scully claims more paranormal theories.

*Some New York scenes were filmed on sets from "NYPD Blue", whose sets were located just across from "The X-Files" studios.
*The hospital billed as NYU Medical Center is actually Massachusetts General Hospital.
*The name Alfred Fellig is a reference to famous photographer Arthur Fellig, better known as Weegee.
