Richard Royal (born
1952 ) is an American glass artist. After having initially studied ceramics, Richard attendedPilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington and was one of the first students to emerge from the early days in the late 1970's. In the 1980's he worked along withDale Chihuly , and has since been a professional artist. Richard often returns to Pilchuck Glass School as an instructor. He lives and creates his blown and hot sculpted glass works inSeattle, Washington .His works can be found in national and international museums, both private and public art collections and in numerous galleries throughout the United States.
