The primary has a roll of 470, with Green Bay High nearly twice as large, with a roll of about 900 (in 2007) There is also a post office in Green Bay.
Catholic students usually attend Marist College (girls), St Peter's College (boys) or Marcellin College (coed).
The main road running through Green Bay is "Godley Road" and this is part of Urban Route 15 that follows through Green Bay to Titirangi and Laingholm.
