Elections to the Legislative Council were held in Sierra Leone under a new constitution in 1951, though only seven seats were up for direct election.
Results
Although the National Council won the most seats, the Sierra Leone People's Party (which won 2 seats) gained the support of the indirectly-elected protectorate representatives and eight paramount chiefs.
