Russ Parrish is the guitar player known as Satchel in the glam metal parody band Steel Panther. He was also a member of Paul Gilbert's Hollywood fun band, the Electric Fence.

Russ also plays in a band called The Thornbirds with Darren Leader who is also a member of Steel Panther.

In The early 1990's Russ was an instructor at The Guitar Institute of Technology (G.I.T.) at Hollywood's Musician's Institute.Russ played guitar for Jeff Pilson's post- Dokken band War & Peace and released one CD, before leaving to join Rob Halford's Fight.In the early to mid 1990s Russ was a member of Rob Halford's band Fight
