callsign_meaning = WW The LeGend|WWLG (96.7 FM, "96.7 The Legend") is a
Clear Channel Communications radio station operating in southmetro Atlanta , and having Peachtree City, Georgia as itscity of license .History
It began in April 1985 as WBUS, then became WWER in March 1987. Just a few months later, it became WMKJ in November 1987, staying there for well over a decade. In October 2000, it became WLDA (WiLD Atlanta), branded as "Wild 96.7". This lasted for only a year, becoming WXVV in October 2001.
The station was WBZY-FM, "96.7 the Buzz" from April 2002 to 2005. In May 2005, the Buzz was moved to 105.3 (and now to WKLS FM 96.1 as "Project 9-6-1"). It was then a
simulcast in southmetro Atlanta of north metro'sWWVA-FM "Viva 105.7" (formerly "Viva 105.3"), as WVWA-FM. (Incidentally, although this was the first time this callsign had actually been assigned [http://www.fybush.com/NERW/2004/040920/nerw.html] , it had been previously used in a famousparody of radio, see links).On December 20, 2006, WVWA became
adult contemporary as 96.7 Lite FM. The format and brand was previously held locally on 94.9, which flipped tocountry music as "94.9 the Bull", with new callsignWUBL-FM .When WLTM aired as "94.9 Lite FM", it was the Atlanta
affiliate for the nationally syndicated Delilah nighttime show; this is no longer the case as her show has been picked up by rival stationWSB-FM ("B98.5FM").In March 2007 WLTM became the new home of
Paul Harvey in Atlanta after a two year stint onWYAY-FM "Eagle 106.7". Prior to that, Paul Harvey was heard onsister station WGST AM 640.In November 2007, the station again begain playing
Christmas music , though with a decidedly more modern and diverse musical style than in its previous years on 94.9, and than competitor WSB-FM. When the format was suddenly moved and changed in December 2006, it ceased playing Christmas music, even though it was beforeChristmas Day .On
December 26 ,2007 , WLTM took the moniker "96.7 The Legend", playing country legends.External links
