- TI-35
The TI-35 series of
scientific calculator s was a line of calculators manufactured byTexas Instruments from 1979 to 1996. The original TI-35 was notable for being one of Texas Instruments' first use ofCMOS controller chips in their designs, and was at the time distinguished from the lower-endTI-30 line by the addition of somestatistics functions. The TI-35 Plus, introduced in 1986, added
hexadecimal andoctal calculations and a 10+2 display (i.e. 10 digitmantissa with a 2-digit exponent), a feature carried onto theTI-36 andTI-30 lines. The line was dropped in 1996, after ten years of coexisting with the TI-36 line, which had a very similar feature set. The number was also used on some models from TI's mid-80s portrait-aspect Galaxy line, but the functionality was closer to the contemporary TI-30 models.
