- Adrenaline Crew
Adrenaline Crew (originally spelled Adrenalin Crew, aka AC) was formed by Kenny Kelley in
Hollywood, CA in 2002. The main purpose of AC was to integrate motorcycle stunts into Hollywood movies. In 2004 Kenny left Hollywood to film motorcycle and car stunts as well as pranks illegally on public streets around theUnited States . They are credited in such blockbuster movies as "Torque"andBiker Boys .Adrenaline Crew's first lineup was Kenny Kelley,
Dale DaBone Rutter (The only male porn star to secure a contract withVivid Video ), Kevin Fraser and 'Crazy Martin'. Shortly after setting up a website and a montage of clips online they received calls to perform as stunt doubles in the half million dollar budget movieIn The Wrong Hands . They doubled the main characters during motorcycle action scenes. Soon after, Dale landed a starring roll in a Fast and the Furious spin offThe Fear of Speed . Fully established in Hollywood within one year, members of AC landed credited stunt rolls in blockbuster movies such as Biker Boys, Torque, and the original Redline pilot. In 2003 Dale left Adrenaline Crew, Kevin was in jail, Crazy Martin was deported from the US and Kenny suffered from a broke wrist while running from the police after an incident involving a race with two
Ferrari 's. Luckily, two kids had caught it on film and with that Adrenaline Crew founder Kenny Kelley began filming gorilla style videos without permit on public roads and highways. In 2004 Adrenaline Crew was featured as a
DirecTV Pay Per View special, which began a large cult following. Adrenaline Crew picked up 'Street Bike' Tommy Pasemente (who is well known in themotorcycle community for jumping aSuzuki street bike overTravis Pastrana 's foam pit. Unfortunately, he overshot the pit and landed on the ground after flying 65 feet. He crushed both legs, feet and incurred other injuries). Other famous characters that make cameos in Adrenaline Crew's videos includetattoo legendPaul Booth who tattooed one of the AC members in a skit made for the video. New members include Greg McGlynn, Dan Herz, Willis and Tattoo Dan Lins who was featured in a 9 page spread as well as on the cover of a 2007Playgirl Magazine .In 2005 the crew started touring the US to gain notoriety while simultaneously taping a TV show that aired in
Europe ,Australia ,Poland and other parts of theUK on theMen and Motors Channel titled Urban Stunt Bikers. More coverage included a DVD sampler in SuperBike Magazine as well as countless magazine coverage from Tattoo Magazine, Loaded Magazine, FHM, Alternative Press, Playgirl, Super StreetBike and more. At the end of 2005 AC signed to Warner Bros/Rhino Home Video (WEA). The first official DVD release, Adrenalin Crew 1 "100% Illegal" was released October 28th, 2005. To date, it has sold over 50,000 copies in the US alone.Leading the way in 2006 Adrenaline Crew opted to take the rock star route and hit the road on a tour that ended up in March at Bike Week in Daytona Beach, FL. Adrenaline Crew was the first street bike attraction at the all Harley Main Street Strip. They opened a shop/lounge on Main Street that offered couches and open use stripper poles to compliment the merchandise and DVDs for sale. After Bike Week they continued to tour, performing their motorcycle stunts on the
Van's Warped Tour . OnHalloween , October 31st 2006, the second official DVD Adrenalin Crew 2 "Awaiting Trial" was released. Distribution between AC and Warner/Rhino Home Video had become rocky since Warner had all but pulled the plug on promoting and distributing extreme sport titles. The video was pulled from store shelves by Christmas.2007 - Adrenaline Crew laid low, taking time to clear up constant legal battles, financial strains and huge contract issues. Kenny still managed to find enough trouble for everyone and continued filming for AC3 & AC4 DVDs. He started editing Adrenaline Crew 3 "The Road Behind" in
High Definition . This DVD featured the adventures Adrenalin Crew members experienced from 2005-2007. Kenny refused to renew his contract with Warner/Rhino and began working on the script of the Story of Adrenaline Crew.External links
