Harald Deilmann (
August 30 ,1920 –January 1 ,2008 ) was a Germanarchitect .Born in
Gladbeck , Westphalia, Deilmann was best known for his work onpublic spaces , such asopera houses andmuseums , throughout Germany and worldwide. He was a member of theAkademie der Künste (Academy of the Arts) inBerlin , as well as theDeutsche Akademie für Städtebau und Landesplanung (German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning) inHanover, Germany .His best known works include the
Städtische Bühnen Münster and the opera house inEssen .Deilmann officially retired in 1985 but continued to do freelance work until his death in
