- Francesco Azopardi
Francesco Azopardi (or Azzopardi) (b.
May 5 ,1748 ,Notabile -d. Feb. 1809,Rabat ) was a Maltese composer and music theorist.Azopardi received his musical training in Malta and during his stay from 1763 to 1774 in
Naples . He worked at the Cathedral ofMdina , and from 1789 at the Cathedral of St. John inValletta . He is known especially through his work "Il Musico Prattico", which appeared in French translation byNicholas Etienne Framéry .Works
