Lee Brotherton

Lee Brotherton is a music artist who created and works under the Remix Factory, but is now independently working under his new alias, Bentley Jones.

Work for the Remix Factory

The Remix Factory is a UK-based production house of which Brotherton is the director and executive producer. Working under this brand he has enjoyed underground success producing and remixing for several major artists including Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Madonna as well as writing and composing for various other projects.cite web | url=http://www.remix-factory.co.uk| title=Remix Factory official site| accessdate=2008-05-10] He is most famous, however, for his song entitled "Dreams of an Absolution", which appears in the 2006 video game "Sonic the Hedgehog", and later on its 2007 soundtrack, ', as the theme song of the character Silver the Hedgehog. The song was written by Brotherton with fellow composers Tomoya Ohtani and Mariko Nanba. The song has been remixed thrice; one is produced by Brotherton himself with Jun Senoue (which was also released on the "Several Wills" album), one is the Nightlight remix, and one is remixed with K-Klub. In April 2008 a fourth version leaked onto the internet after a fan recorded a sample using their cell phone while the song was being recorded in the studio. [http://www.bentleyjones.com Bentley Jones official site] , see NEWS BLOG"' section.] Despite recovering from having a tumour removed and still receiving medical treatment, he performed at the Summer of Sonic 2008 event [http://www.summerofsonic.com/2008/07/special-guest-lee-brotherton/] with his set list comprising of 'Dreams of an Absolution ~Ballad Version~' (performed with Richard Jacques) and his own version of Crush 40's His World called 'His World ~Blue World Prelude~' which was the main theme of Summer of Sonic 2008. He also sang the NiGHTS song Dreams Dreams with Richard Jacques and TJ Davis.

Bentley Jones

In November 2007 Brotherton began segregating himself from the Remix Factory to concentrate on his own work as an artist under the pseudonym Bentley Jones. As this new alias, he was invited to remix and guest star on "Open Your Heart" originally featured in the video-game Sonic Adventure which also appears on the newly released album "".

Jones is known for being a fan of Japanese megastar Ayumi Hamasaki. Not only did he cover her song 'Depend on You' entirely in Japanese, but he rewrote it into English as a new track called Depend on Me. These two covers resulted in lots of attention from J-pop and Ayumi Hamasaki fans, the large majority of which was very positive. In August 2008 Jones collaborated with French duo Cassandre for a remix of the track "Liberté" broadening his linguistic spectrum to French as well as English and Japanese.
