Stroud High School is a grammar school for girls aged 11 to 18 based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England. The headteacher today is Mr T Withers.

Academic standards

The school is a foundation grammar, and in 2007 achieved GCSE Level 2 threshold (the equivalent of 5+A*-C) of 100%, as opposed to the Gloucestershire average of 64% and national average of 61%. Stroud High School is a specialist school in science.Many of the Stroud High students are members of NAGTY (National academy of gifted and talented youth.)

Uniform

The school uniform consists of a maroon jumper which must have the SHS logo embroidered on the left hand side, a grey skirt or grey trousers, and a pink, striped blouse. There are also strict rules which disallow most make-up. Extreme hair colours are not allowed.
