- Vatt Lobo
The Vatt Lobo ("Wolf") is a light attack military vehicle created by Casanave Industries, a Peruvian company. The multi-mission vehicle uses a Volkswagen 1600 engine, equipped with light armor and antitank weapons. The vehicle was originally created for the Peruvian armed forces in 2005, under the "Diede Project". The chief engineer was Sergio Casanave-Ph.D, who previously had been working for the Brazilian Taurus company.
Technical characteristics
This vehicle is powered by a Volkswagen 1600, air-cooled engine. The Lobo, a 3 men, all-terrain, air-transportable vehicle. It can be equipped with a M2HB 12.7 mm heavy machine gun, a FN-MAG 7.62 mm medium machine gun, a RPG-7V anti-tank rocket launcher (6 rounds), two Malyutka 2 9M14-2 anti-tank missiles with SACLOS semi-automatic guidance.
As of present, the Peruvian Army special forces employs the vehicle.
