When it was created in England in 1984, it consisted of the Westminster Parliament constituencies of Luton South, Milton Keynes, North Hertfordshire, North Luton, South West Bedfordshire, Stevenage, West Hertfordshire, [cite web |url=http://www.election.demon.co.uk/ |title=David Boothroyd's United Kingdom Election Results |accessdate=2008-01-20] although this may not have been true for the whole of its existence.
