Khrushchev dough ( _ru. хрущёвское тесто) was the result of introducing the
flour rationing in theSoviet Union . The Khrushchev pie was made by extracting the loaf pulp, injecting filling and being baked in anoven . In 1963-1964 that pie became common onNew Year tables. The color of the Khrushchev loafs inLeningrad was nearly blue. In some recipes fromRunet the dough was supposed to be long-lasting.Notes
