Plot summary

In this episode, Detectives Goren and Bishop investigate a rash of fatal poisonings in an isolated island church as well as the drowning deaths of three young students.

Goren and Bishop try to discover the link between the poisining and the drowned deaths. The detectives first suspect the crimes are related to parishioner politics, but they soon discover a promiscuous sexual lifestyle among the town's youth. Then, they turn their attention to three teenaged girls who might be connected to the deaths, but when they interview a male classmate of the girls, it soon transpires there is more to the candid-looking island community than meets the eye.

Finally, Goren uncover evidence that could well have been enough reason to commit the homicides in the cause of a twisted philosophy.
