cities =Tardebigge Lake is a large feeder
reservoir , about 25 acres in size, built to supply water for the famous flight of locks running fromTardebigge towardsWorcester , part of theWorcester and Birmingham Canal . It was maintained through the misuse of the canal system byBritish Waterways . It still supplies water to the canal system and varies in depth. The lake is up to convert|40|ft|m|sing=on deep at the dam end and shelves off to around convert|15|ft|m at the inlet end. It was used for many years as a general fishery, licensed by British Waterways.
The lake is run as a closed syndicate and, as it increases in popularity, spaces for the syndicate are limited.
The lake is a welcome diversion for walkers on the canal and access is allowed to the dam end and the side of the lake alongside the canal path.
