Carolyn McCall is Chief Executive of
Guardian Media Group , a prominentcompany of theUnited Kingdom and parent organisation of "The Guardian " newspaper and other media outlets. On 10 April 2008, it was reported in the Guardian that McCall resigned as non-executive director ofTesco after the latter company sued the Guardian for libel.
