Sandwich (film)

Sandwich is a 2006 Bollywood comedy film starring Govinda, Raveena Tandon and Mahima Chaudhary.The film is directed by Anees Bazmee who is famously known for directing the blockbuster comedy films "No Entry" (2005) and "Welcome" (2007). This film was completed in 2003 but was delayed for three years and finally released in 2006. It was originally titled "Hum Do Humara Ek". This was Govinda's last film for several months, until he returned with his smash-hit Bhagam Bhag

ynopsis

Sher Singh (Govinda) is in love with Nisha (Raveena Tandon). Her father arranges her marriage to his friend's son Vicky (Rajendranath Zutshi). Shekar rushes home in response to a telegram to find that his marriage has been arranged with a local girl, Sweety (Mahima Chaudhary). He gets married and arrives back in Mumbai in time for Nisha's wedding.

Nisha is ready to kill herself at the pandal and to pacify her, her father gets her married to Sher Singh before he can explain the situation. After the wedding, he confesses to her father who advices her not to tell Nisha anything. Meanwhile Nisha'a fiance, Vicky goes wild and attempts to kidnap Nisha. Her father and fiance are both killed in the ensuing struggle and Nisha never gets to learn the truth.

Meanwhile, Sher Singh leads a double life and has one son each by both wives. As the boys get admitted to the same school and the boys as well as their mothers become friends. Since Sher Singh goes by the name of Shekar while in Mumbai, he manages to convince both the wives that there are two people bearing a remarkable resemblance.

The kids meanwhile suspect that something is wrong and keep investigating. When it almost seems like the truth will out, there is a surprise element in the entry of a second Govinda who claims to be Nisha's husband.

Now Sher Singh can neither confess to being a bigamist nor sit silently as a stranger stays with his wife. Meanwhile Sher Singh is implicated in a murder as well. Finally it turns out that Nisha's fiance, Vicky is not actually dead but underwent facial reconstruction as Sher Singh. Finally a lot of slapstick later, all ends well.
