LeShundra "DeDee" Nathan

LeShundra "DeDee" Nathan (born April 20, 1968 in Birmingham, Alabama) is a retired heptathlete from the United States, who won the gold medal at the 1991 Pan American Games in Havana, Cuba. She is a two-time U.S. champion (2000 and 2001) and the 1999 World Indoor pentathlon gold medalist.

After her seventh place finish at the 2001 World Championships and fourth place finish at the 2000 Goodwill Games, Nathan accepted an assistant track & field coaching position at Southern Illinois University under Olympic teammate and newly named head coach Connie Price-Smith. Nathan avenged fourth-place finishes at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Trials to win the 2000 Trials and make her first USA Olympic Team. In 1998, she finished a scant 23 points behind Jackie Joyner-Kersee in the hepthalon legends final go at the event at the Goodwill Games.
