Prior to its secession from the European Community in 1985, Greenland was a constituency of the European Parliament for European elections.

1979

The 1979 European election was the first election to the European Parliament. The vote was held on 9 June 1979. Finn Lynge of Forward was elected.

1984

The 1984 European election was the second election to the European Parliament. The vote was held on 14 June 1984. Finn Lynge was reelected, and when Greenland 1 January 1985 seceded from the European Community his seat was transferred to the Danish Socialist People's Party.Marquard, Arne (ed.) (1984).
