] Sveta Gera (Croatian) or Trdinov vrh (Slovene) on the border between Slovenia and Croatia is the highest peak of the Žumberak/Gorjanci mountain.

In Slovene, the peak was originally called "Sveta Jera" after the 15th century church of Saint Gertrude some hundred meters from the highest point of the peak. In 1923, however, the president of the Novo Mesto Mountaineering Club Ferdinand Seidl proposed the renaming after Janez Trdina, an ardent describer of the region. On 15 August 1923, the peak was solemnly renamed by a Slovene girl, whereas the accompanying ecclesiastic rituals were performed by a Croatian priest. Owing to diplomacy, the dispute has not escalated.

In March 1999, Milan Kučan, then president of Slovenia, called the usage of the barracks building as a military outpost of either Slovenian or Croatian Army as controversial and "at least uncivilized".
