Eric Obinna Chukwunyelu (born 10 June 1981 in Owerri, Nigeria) is an Nigeria footballer. He plays as a striker. In the early part of season 2005-06, he played a minor part in Reading's record breaking promotion season. He did not score, but set up several goals. In January 2008 he was part of the training camp of Atlante of Mexico but he did not approve the football test. In Late January he arrived to Colombia, and trained with Millonarios in order to get a contract with the Colombian team, but he didn't approve the test.

Club career

Eric Obinna, as he is commonly known, has had played for many clubs in including: Reading, Stuttgarter Kickers, Kaiserslautern, FC Rouen, Red Star, St. Etienne, Dumbarton, Arsenal, Bahia, Stevenage Borough, and Millionarios club of Colombia. He has recently penned a 3 year deal with Korean team Daejeon Citizen.
