Samuel Groth (born October 19, 1987 in Narrandera) is a professional Australian tennis player. His highest ATP singles ranking is 275th, which he reached on June 23, 2008. His career high in doubles was at 262 set at 24 March, 2008. Groth famously beat Mark Philippoussis at the end of 2007, it was Philippoussis' last match to date. Groth qualified for the ATP event in Nottingham where he defeated Britain's Jamie Baker 7–6(7) 6–3 in the first round. He played well, but lost his second round match to seeded Gilles Simon 7–6(1) 4–6 4–6.
