Zip's Drive In

Zip's Drive In is a Pacific Northwest-based American fast food restaurant chain founded in Tri-Cities, Washington in 1953. The chain, whose franchises are locally owned and operated, is named after Robert "Zip" Zuber, the chain's founder.

The chain is known for uniquely-named hamburger sandwiches, some of them known as "Papa Joe", "Belly-Buster" and "Big Zipper". The chain also features hand-cut and breaded cod filets, as well as their handmade tartar sauce, usually made on-premise. They also offer deep-fried mushrooms, and offer 'tubs' of french-fries or tater tots.

Some of their most unusual offerings include a hot dog split in half and served on a hamburger bun with ketchup, mustard and a dill pickle slice. They also offer the Hobo (originally called the Hobo Steak Sandwich), a 1/3-lb hamburger served with barbecue sauce, although it is believed the Ritzville, Washington location still serves the original Hobo Steak, as well as a Cowboy Steak Sandwich.
