HMS Neptune (1683)

HMS "Neptune" was a 90-gun second rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched in 1683 at Deptford Dockyard.

She underwent her first rebuild at Blackwall, from where she was relaunched on 6 May 1710 as a 90-gun second rate built to the 1706 Establishment. On 11 August 1724 "Neptune" was ordered to be taken to pieces and rebuilt as a 90-gun second rate to the 1719 Establishment at Woolwich, from where she was relaunched on 15 October 1730. She was renamed HMS "Torbay" and reduced to a 74-gun ship in 1750.

"Torbay" was sold out of the navy in 1784.
