Yaho Tenman-gū

Yaho Tenman-gū

Nihongo|Yaho Tenman-gū|谷保天満宮 is a Shinto shrine in Kunitachi, Tokyo. It is located next to the Kōshū Kaidō highway. According to legend, the shrine was constructed by the third son of Sugawara no Michizane in 903 to worship his father. It is the oldest Tenman-gū in eastern Japan, and is one of three major shrines in the Kantō region (the two others being Kameido Tenjin and Yushima Tenman-gū).

The original name of the shrine is "Yabo", although "Yaho" is the popular name.
