Toren Smith

Toren Smith founded Studio Proteus with Adam Warren in 1986.cite web|url=http://www.darkhorse.com/news/interviews.php?id=622|title=Interviews: Toren Smith|publisher=Dark Horse Comics|first=Michael|last=Gilman|accessdate=2008-01-14] He is co-creator and writer of the first three graphic novel releases of the original English-language manga series "The Dirty Pair" drawn by Warren; Warren later took over both writing and art after Smith moved to other projects. Smith first became interested in anime and manga after being introduced to it by a friend in 1982, and he learned Japanese by studying them.
