Casa de Dios

Casa de Dios is a Christian church located in Guatemala, Guatemala, Central America. It is the largest and fastest growing church in Guatemala.Fact|date=January 2008 The church is led by Pastors Carlos "Cash" Luna and Sonia Luna. As of 2007 Casa de Dios was attended by over 19000 people (including children). Casa de Dios is also host to the leadership conference "Ensancha" and to the youth conference "Hechos 29".

History

Casa de Dios was founded on September 11, 1994 by Pastor Carlos "Cash" Luna and his wife Sonia Luna. The Church grew quickly, having to be relocated from the Pastors' living room, to a hotel ballroom, and then to the main auditorium of the Chamber of Industry of Guatemala. Then it was relocated to a building known as "La Bodeguita" in Boulevard Los Proceres of Guatemala City. On July 1999 the construction of a new sanctuary began, with capacity for accommodating more than 3,500 people. By 2008, more than 17,000 people attended the Church in five services on Sundays. Organization

Pastors Carlos "Cash" and Sonia Luna are the head of the church. There are 12 co-pastors who conform the pastoral team with Pastors Cash and Sonia Luna [ [http://www.cashluna.org/eng/index.cfm?get=info&view=776 Cash Luna Ministries ] ] . The organization of the church is based on the Jesus Model developed by the church. The Jesus Model consists of pairs of leaders opening evangelistic home groups (known as "células", after cell in spanish). Each leader is in charge of 12 other leaders, while being at the same time under the discipleship of another leader. The pastoral team is formed by the 12 leaders under Pastor Cash Luna's discipleship. Each of the different evangelistic home group networks of the church (such as young couples, youth and children, families, etc.) consist of the network of leaders of one of the co-pastors.
