Taketani Mitsuo (1911-2000) was a prominent Japanese
physicist and Marxist. He published his "Doctrine of the Three Stages of Scientific Development" in1936 . This was the first Japanese contribution to thephilosophy of science . He appliedHegel 's theory ofdialectic s, with the triadPhenomenon , Substance, andEssence . Having worked withYukawa Hideki as he developed his discovery of themeson , he used this as an example of a new substance.References
