Gelila, Ethiopia

Gelila is a town in western Ethiopia. Located in the Misraq Welega Zone of the Oromia Region, this town has a latitude and longitude of coord|09|51|N|36|29|E with an elevation of 2140 meters above sea level. It is the administrative center of Limmu woreda.

Based on figures from the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, Gelila has an estimated total population of 4,890 of whom 2,248 were males and 2,642 were females. [ [http://www.csa.gov.et/text_files/2005_national_statistics.htm CSA 2005 National Statistics] , Table B.4] The 1994 census reported this town had a total population of 2,741 of whom 1,219 were males and 1,522 were females.
