Gommenec'h ( _br. Gouanac'h) is a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Bretagne in west of France.

Inhabitants are called "gommenechois" (male) and "gommenechoises" (female).

Breton Ethymology: gou (under) and menec'h (monks)

Geography - Economy

This agricultural village, is situated at 13 km of magnificient touristic beaches of "La Manche".

Monuments

The "Chapelle de Douannec" dating from the sixteenth century, where you can admire the statues of the Virgin and Child, Saint Pierre and Saint Eutrope in polychrome wood. The "Eglise Saint Guy" with a wooden statue of Saint Joran. The "Fontaine Saint Guy": eighteenth century granite fountain.
