John Beck (Real Estate)

John Beck runs a real estate investing program known as the "Free and Clear Real Estate Program" . John Beck's program is primarily advertised via infomercials, it primarily runs on late night and cable channel in the United States and Canada. The premise of the program is that individuals can purchase real estate at extremely low prices, and make money by reselling them, renting them or by living in them, and not having to pay a mortgage. He claims to teach people how to purchase properties for "pennies on the dollar." The Free & Clear System focuses on making money in the "tax sale foreclosure" arena.

In his infomercial presentation he discusses people who have bought houses appraised at over $100,000 by simply paying the back taxes owed, perhaps a few hundred dollars.

The sold courses are a series of books and DVDs which educate them on how to purchase these properties, along with access to lists of such properties for sale.

Many individuals have purchased his program for under $100, and they have found the material to be extensive, yet confusing. This is the primary reason that John Beck offers a "coaching" or "consulting" program so that his clients can have better success in real estate investing based on the principles taught in his "Free & Clear System."

John Beck's programs have received nearly universal low ratings, on sites such as www.infomercialscams.com. Many complain of illegal billing practices, including in some cases debits of $15,000. Individuals also complain that the mentoring is not useful and overpriced, and that the properties available for sale are in remote or highly impoverished areas. After purchasing the course for $39.99 plus $14.95 S/H, your attention is immediately directed to call 877-636-1558. This is a phone number that is designed to get information on your income and home equity for the sole purpose of determining how much to charge for an "expert". Depending on your financial capabilities, you may be quoted $2,300 [ [http://www.infomercialscams.com/defenses/john_beck_free_and_clear/ infomercialscams.com ] ] or $20,000 [ [http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/240/RipOff0240337.htm/ ripoffreport.com ] ] for the same expert service. A Director calls you and makes many promises but offer no guarantees yet asks for the money for "education only" upfront refusing to send you the agreement and terms and conditions until 3-5 business days after you make your payment.
