* Proton FC - promoted from Malaysia FAM Cup 2007
* Felda United FC - promoted from Malaysia FAM Cup 2007
The Malaysia Premier League 2007-08 champion was Kuala Muda NAZA FC. They were promoted to Malaysia Super League 2008-09 along with runners-up KL PLUS FC.
