Živinice is a town and municipality in northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, located south of Tuzla. It is part of the Tuzla Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Demographics

1991

In the 1991 census, the municipality of Živinice had 34,783 inhabitants, of which there were:
*29,011 Muslims (80.34%),
*2,096 Croats (7.25%),
*2,525 Serbs (6.43%),
*1,101 Yugoslavs (3.88%),
*and 1,135 others and unknown (2.07%). Mixed marriages

The town of Živinice itself had 11,956 residents.
