Scottish Record Society

Scottish Record Society

The Scottish Record Society was founded at Edinburgh in 1897 and since then has published numerous volumes of calendars and indices of public records and private muniments relating to Scotland.

Membership of the Society is open to all persons and institutions interested in its work. The president in 2007 was the Very Reverend Duncan Shaw of Chapelverna, PhD., Th.Dr., Dr.h.c. The secretary is Professor James Kirk, MA., PhD., D.Litt., FRHS., FRSE., Department of History, University of Glasgow.
