"Patiriella parvivipara" is an Australian species of sea star.

It is of very small size (measuring up to 1 cm) and yellow-orange colour. It is self-ferilising hermaphrodite and incubates its young in the gonads [Grzimek's Animal Life Encyclopedia, vol 1, Gale Cengage 2003 p.378] .
