animated TV show aired between 2002 and 2004, centered on the fictionalpolar bear of the same name. Each three-minute episode focuses on the bear'scuriosity and have many moments ofslapstick . Bernard never speaks with the exception of intelligible noises. In Korea, Bernard is known as Backkom ( _ko. 빼꼼 "Ppaekkom", which means "gaze ").Bernard is accompanied in the cartoons by a few other characters: Lloyd the
penguin , Zack the lizard, Goliath thechihuahua , Tyler the baby, Santa Clause, Pilot the dog and Pokey the porcupine.He usually dies at the end of an episode, due to some calamity caused by his bumbling.
