Regional cup best = -The Shanghai national soccer team was an international team from the puppet state in the district of Shanghai created by former Qing Dynasty officials with help from Imperial Japan in 1937. However it was not a member of the AFC or FIFA, and was therefore not eligible to enter either the World Cup or AFC Asian Cup. It was reintegrated to China PR in 1948.
