Seymour Chwast

Seymour Chwast American graphic designer, illustrator, and type designer.

He was born in Bronx, New York, August 18, 1931 and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cooper Union in 1951. Milton Glaser, Edward Sorel, and he founded Push Pin Studios in 1954. The award-winning bi-monthly publication "The Push Pin Graphic" was a product of their collaboration. Chwast is famous for his commercial artwork, which includes, posters, food packaging, magazine covers, and publicity art. He is thought of as a key American designer who, along with Herb Lubalin and Tibor Kalman, influenced Howard Milton.
