" (born 1961)" is a New York based playwright, screenwriter and lyricist. For the stage, he wrote the book and lyrics for the mini-rock opera, THE OEDIPUS COMPLEX, that was optioned by Joseph Papp. His social satire, STARR’S ON BROADWAY was produced off-Broadway in 1999, and will be staged as part of a benefit for Gilda’s Club of New York, in the fall of 2008. His plays, HOUSING, THE ASSASSINATION THAT SAVED JOHN’S PIZZERIA, and I’LL SEE YOU IN HELL have all been produced in New York City.

Eric’s original screenplay, THE ONLY TRACE was optioned by an independent producer. He was commissioned to adapt the screenplays SUPERSTAR and ON THE OTHER SIDE, from pre-existing works. His other original screenplays include JULIAN’S QUEST, and the script for the upcoming feature film based on recent news events that he found himself in the middle of, WITHOUT HATE.

As a lyricist, Eric has worked with numerous local bands, composers and musicians. Four of his 9-11 related songs, that were performed at benefits and memorials at the time, will be part of EMPTY SKYLINE, a compilation CD that he is co-producing, to benefit the Art For Healing Foundation. Three pictures that Eric took were displayed in the September 11th Photo Exhibit, that toured nationally and is now part of the permanent collection at the New York Public Library, on Forty Second Street and Fifth Avenue.

Eric has also produced several plays in small New York theaters, and a number of music recordings for a variety of bands and singers. He was the head speechwriter for the National Children’s Leukemia Foundation’s first annual awards dinner at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square, a co-producer of the post 9-11 Art for Healing benefit at a large New York nightclub, and a talent coordinator for the Families for Freedom 2 benefit at City Center. He’s been a recurring featured guests on radio programs like Howard Stern, Joey Reynolds and Joe Franklin.

Eric is a native of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, and is still convinced that there’s not much of a world, beyond the boundaries of Manhattan. He is a graduate of John Dewey High School and the Dramatic Writing Program at NYU'S Tisch School of the Arts.
