Number of candidates to be competing for the national crown are yet to be determined. The winner will represent the Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2009 . The first runner up will enter in Miss Reina Hispanoamerica 2009. The second runner up will enter in Miss Continente Americano 2009. The third runner up will enter in Miss Carribean 2010. The fourth runner up will enter in Miss Global Cities 2009. The rest of the Top 10 will enter Miss Globe International 2009, Miss Bikini International 2010, Miss Asia Pacific 2010, Miss Leisure 2010. The castings and inscriptions are open for the girls interested. The Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2009 will be held in January '09. They wanted the pageant to be on November '08, but there was a conflict and misfortune with the sponsors and for such reason they make the pageant in January, not in February as some they were mentioning. It is expected that many candidates are selected for the contest. Funny they told me that they would like 100 candidates, but they expect that they be more or less than 25 girls. They have set as setting the Palacio de los Deportes and they want to make to the extreme.
