Imaculado Coração de Maria

Imaculado Coração de Maria is a parish in the district of Funchal in the Madeira Islands. Imaculado Coração de Maria is also a suburb of Funchal. The population in 2001 is 6,951, its density is 5,148.9/km² and the area is 1.35 km². It is located near Funchal. The main industry are businesses. It is one of the smallest parish in area in Madeira and is also the largest in density. Recently, was built a new school: Escola Básica dos 2.º e 3.º Ciclos de Bartolomeu Perestrelo, with a capacity for 2000 students, that turned this parish in a new central place of Funchal.

Imaculado Coração de Maria has schools, lyceums, gymnasia, churches and a few squares ("praças").
