After Ashley

"After Ashley" is a 2004 play written by Gina Gionfriddo.

The play was the hit of the 2004 Humana Festival of New American Playscite web |title=28th Annual Humana Festival |url=http://www.centerstagechicago.com/theatre/articles/humana2004.html] in Louisville, Kentucky where it received its world premiere in March 2004. It was then produced in New York in February 2005 at the Vineyard Theatre. This production was directed by Terry Kinney and starred Kieran Culkin, Anna Paquin, Dana Eskelson, and Grant Shaud. For his performance as Justin, Culkin won an Obie Award in 2005. Subsequent productions took place in Washington D.C. in September 2005, and Philadelphia in February 2006.

The play was one of three finalists for the Steinberg New Play Award in 2005,cite web |title=Steinberg New Play Award Winners |url=http://www.americantheatrecritics.org/pressreleases/SteinbergAwards.htm] as well as the John Gassner Playwriting Award.
