Radcliffe Tower is the only surviving part of a manor house in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester (gbmapping|SD79580751). It is a Grade I listed buildingcite web|title=Radcliffe Tower |url=http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=210639 |publisher=Images of England|accessdate=2008-01-05] and a Scheduled Monument.cite web |title=Radcliffe Tower |url=http://www.pastscape.org.uk/hob.aspx?hob_id=44210 |publisher=Pastscape.org.uk |accessdate=2008-01-05] The house was rebuilt in 1403 by James de Radcliffe and consisted of a stone-built hall and two towers with a moat, probably built with ashlar. The manor house was demolished in the 19th century leaving only the tower. The tower measures nowrap|convert|10.5|yd|m| by nowrap|convert|19|yd|m| and survives to about nowrap|convert|20|ft|m| in height. The tower is owned by Bury council. Radcliffe Tower is about nowrap|convert|3.3|km|mi| south of Bury Castle, a late 15th-century moated manor house.
