Anna-Maria Ferrero

Anna-Maria Ferrero (Rome, 18 February, 1934) is an Italian actress.

She was born Anna Maria Guerra but took the surname Ferrero in tribute to the musician Willy Ferrero. With 15 years, she debuts on screen in "Il cielo è rosso" (1950) and she has a role in "Il duca di Sant'Elmo" (1950) and in "Il Cristo proibito" (1951), the only film directed by the famous writer Curzio Malaparte.
She works with Michelangelo Antonioni in "I vinti", she co stars with Marcello Mastroianni the awarded "Chronicle of Poor Lovers" (1953), with Totò in "Totò e Carolina" (1953) and with Alberto Sordi in "Una parigina a Roma" (1954.

But Vittorio Gassman was her cinema couple. They worked together in "Lorenzaccio", in King Vidor's "War and Peace (1956 film)", "Kean", "Giovanni dalle bande nere", "Le sorprese dell'amore", "Il mattatore" and "La notte brava".

She leaves cinema with 37 years after her marriage to French actor Jean Sorel. Her last film was an episode in "Controsesso" (1965) directed by Ettore Scola
