Science hero is an alternative term for
superhero coined byAlan Moore in his work forAmerica's Best Comics to describe basically a superhero that has ascience fiction explanation for his/her powers, although magical superheroes are also described as science heroes. The term is used extensively throughout the ABC titles, especially in hispolice procedural series, "Top Ten", as well as "Terra Obscura ". The term was created by Alan Moore because Marvel and DC claim the termsuperhero as a trademark. The term is also a nod to thepulp hero es.Some known science heroes and their powers:
*Greyshirt - He is a smart, skilled and tenacious fighter who sports a completebodysuit made ofchainmail , walking cane fitted with powergrappling line.
*Jack B. Quick - Inventive genius.
