Taego Order or Taegojong (태고종) is the second largest order in the Korean Buddhism. Seonamsa is one of the head monasteries of Taego and over 8,000 monks and 3,100 temples belong to this order. What sets Taego apart from some of the other Korean sects like Chogye, among other factors, the order allows to ordained clergy to marry. This custom is a remnant of the Japanese occupation of Korea. cite book| last =Robinson| first =Martin| authorlink =| coauthors =| title =Seoul| publisher =Lonely Planet| date =2003| location =| pages =p. 19| url =| doi =| id = | isbn = 1740592182] cite book| last =Ford| first =James Ishmael| authorlink =James Ishmael Ford| coauthors =| title =Zen Master Who?| publisher =Wisdom Publications| date =2006| location =| pages =p. 98| url =| doi =| id = | isbn = 0861715098] See the Taego order's English language website (below) for information on centers in the U.S. and other countries.
